Size Guide

We are all beautifully unique — and so are our ears. That’s why we offer a variety of post and hoop sizes, as well as custom jewelry services. Enjoy wearing luxurious earrings with a perfect fit for all-day comfort.

Finding Your Ideal Fit

Post Length: The length of flat-back earrings is measured from the end of the post to the back of the frontal. We offer four sizes—5mm, 6.5mm, 8mm, and 10mm—so everyone can find fine earrings that fit properly.

Hoop Diameter: The size of hoop earrings is based on their diameter—the measurement across the hoop’s inner section. With a variety of hoop sizes, we have a pair to fit your style.

ESTELLA COLLECTION

Flat Back Guide: What's My Size?

4 ways to measure your size:

  1. Take a traditional earring that fits you well and insert it into your piercing. Subtract the length that sticks out from the total post length.
  2. Take a flat back or labret piercing earring that fits you well and lay it flat on the milimeter ruler. Each line is a milimeter.
  3. Look at average piercing sizes at estellacollection.com/sizing
  4. Travel to a tattoo or piercing shop and ask to be measured for the most accurate measurement.

Post Sizes

We developed a line of flat-back earrings that won’t get caught on your clothes or poke your skin. We have four sizes available so everyone can find comfortable earrings.

  • 5mm
  • 6.5mm
  • 8mm
  • 10mm

Hoop Sizing

Whether you prefer your hoops to be snug, spacious, or somewhere in the middle, your perfect pair awaits. A larger diameter will give you more space between the earring and your skin, while a smaller diameter hugs the ear closer.

Sizing Tips

The right earring size can vary depending on when you were pierced. Because the ear swells during the first month or so, the original post used for the piercing will be slightly longer than usual. You may want to choose earrings with a shorter post after four to six weeks when the swelling has gone down. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch anytime!

How to Put On Flat Back Earrings

Hold the flat back post steady while unscrewing the earring head from it by rotating it towards the left (counterclockwise).

Take the flat back post and insert it into the back of your piercing.

If you have trouble with this step...
- Insert a traditional earring head into the front of your piercing
- Use it to guide your flat back post into place through the back of your piercing
- Hold the back securely against your piercing and pull the earring head out

Hold your flat back post securely against your piercing as you insert the earring head into its backing.

Twist the earring head into its backing until secure.
